Volunteers' Award Ceremony 志愿者颁奖典礼

VOLUNTEERS’ AWARD CEREMONY under the WA State Government's HARMONY CHAMPION PROGRAM was held to recognise the contributions of our members who have volunteered their services to the community!

The ceremony was held on 12 April 2014 at Swan House, 56 Duncraig Road, Applecross WA.

Light refreshment was sponsored by Honorary Advisor Mr Charlie Chang.


西澳客家公会( HakkaWA )于2014412日成功举办和谐冠军颁奖仪式,促进社区的志愿者参与志愿工作。

颁奖仪式举办目的是纪念和谐冠军计划,这是代表西澳的文化和语言多样化的社区提供服务,并且承认的辛勤工作和人民谁给组织提供自愿支持成就联想的机会。

西澳客家公会会长(HakkaWA)说,他决心不遗余力地继续为社会服务特别提供援助与在珀斯新定居移民,以帮助他们顺利地适应当地的文化环境。本会自成立以来,积极举办多种多元化活动,推展海内外客家事务,推展同庆[全球客家日]为了弘扬客家文化,传承客家精神,我们推展以下活动:

1. 成立客家子女奖励金,籍以鼓励更多客家子弟参与多元文化及艺术范畴之自工服务,研习,进修,研究,调查,观摩,访问及展演等计划,培植其竞争力。

2. 鼓励及推广客家语言,扎根语言学习。长辈从家里开始和小孩讲客语。

3. 鼓励客家青年立足西澳,勇猛国际筑梦。

4. 推展多元交流活动,促进海内外客家与澳洲连接。


最后再次对各位一直以来的参与与贡献表示衷心的感谢。希望以后大家同心协力,继续多关注和支持我们大家的西澳客家公会。

西澳客家公会将在201410月参加第27届世界客属恳亲大会客家古都河南省,开封市举行。
杨会长也表示今年西澳客家公会将推出在澳州首个麒麟舞,先在今年珀斯圣诞大游行展示。该会也将在20146月庆祝其成立五周年庆祝晚宴及活动.


Elizabeth Rehfeldt 女士代表多元文化办事处( OMI )表示诚挚的感谢西澳客家公会推进在西澳大利亚的多元文化利益。她还赞扬了西澳客家公会建立一个联系紧密的社区,所有的华人可以感到宾至如归。


这个仪式真正标志着西澳客家公会和多元文化办事处对志愿者表示感谢。西澳将成为来自各行各业的人更热情,和谐的地方。

The Hakka Association of Western Australia Inc. (HakkaWA) organised Harmony Champions award ceremony on the 12th of April 2014 at Heathcote, Applecross to show appreciation to the volunteers who have contributed tirelessly to the community.

The award ceremony was organised to commemorate the Harmony Champions Program, which is an opportunity for association that represent and provide services to WA’s culturally and linguistically diverse communities and to acknowledge the hard work and achievements of people who provide voluntary support to the organisation.

President of the HakkaWA says the drive and motivation to forward the Hakkas presence in Western Australia. He resolved to relentlessly to continue to serve the community particularly providing assistance to mew migrants settling in WA to help them to smoothly adapt to the local cultural environment. HakkaWA is introducing the first ever Kilin (unicorn) dance in Australia, the first to showcase at Perth Christmas Pageant in November 2014.

Ms. Elizabeth Rehfeldt representing the Office of Multicultural Interest (OMI). She expressed her sincere appreciation to the Hakka Association for advancing multicultural interests in Western Australia. She also commended the Hakka Association for establishing a close-knit community where all Chinese can feel welcome.

This ceremony truly symbolises the appreciation that both the HakkaWA and the OMI has for the volunteers. With such dedicated and determined members of the Association, there is no doubt that Western Australia will become a more welcoming and harmonious place for people from all walks of life. The Association will be celebrating its 5th Anniversary celebration in June 2014.
